Trust is a seed that comes from respects.
When you meet someone, how would you trust them? Could you trust people that you have met for the first time? I think trust comes from respect. Respect is a foundation for you to be able to understand other people with the right manners and finally, you could establish trust as a foundation on top of the people's relationships. I believe interconnective respect is a core value to build robust relationships among people. Without respect for each other, there is no trust relationship.
There is nothing you can neglect even though it is a tiny living thing which is created by God. God never creates things that can be neglected. Would you want to build trust with someone? Respect someone first. That will be the foundation to build trust with someone.
Here is my own story from early career in the startup and VC. 10 years ago, I met some early founding members, who were working on some ideas. But while I was listening to their idea, it sounded like a "not promising and not astonishing idea" and then I neglected them in my mind. This was my mistake. Now they become a multi-billion dollar company in finance sector. This is one of the biggest and most precious learning as an investor for my own. "Never neglect tiny thing...They might have the potential to be bigger than you think and respect everyone and everything...period."
